Michael F. Clark

Senior Vice President, Operations

Michael Clark has served as MedQuist's senior vice president, Operations, since February 2005. He has more than 20 years of experience in technical operations, quality improvement, training, marketing and sales. His current responsibilities include overseeing operations in MedQuist’s service regions and end-to-end service delivery and support for all business lines.

Clark joined MedQuist in 1998, through the acquisition of the MRC Group, where he served as vice president, Marketing and Corporate Services. From January 1998 until July 2000, he served as MedQuist's region vice president for the Southeast. From May 2001 to May 2002, Clark was employed as chief operating officer for eScribe, a transcription service provider. From May 2002 until November 2003, he served as MedQuist's vice president of Operations for the Southwest, and from November 2003 to February 2005, he was senior vice president of Operations for the Western Division.

Clark began his career with Emery Worldwide, where he started in sales and later moved to sales and operations management. He has a bachelor of science degree in Marketing/International Business from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and an MBA with a focus in healthcare from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida.

A frequent speaker at industry conferences, Clark has presented at national conferences hosted by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), TEPR (Towards an Electronic Patient Record), Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), Medical Transcription Industry Alliance (MTIA) and Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), among others. He has also served on numerous committees and boards in the healthcare industry.
