Mark R. Sullivan

General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, Secretary

Sullivan was appointed as MedQuist's general counsel in September 2006, chief compliance officer in July 2006, and secretary in January 2005. He is responsible for all legal and compliance activities at the corporate and operational levels. From August 2004 to September 2006, Sullivan served as acting general counsel. From March 2003 to August 2004, he served as associate general counsel and assistant secretary.

Before joining MedQuist, Sullivan was an attorney with the law firm Pepper Hamilton LLP in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he specialized in corporate and securities law, and with Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP in Princeton, New Jersey, where his practice concentrated on banking, private equity, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and business counseling. Before beginning his career in private practice, Sullivan served as law clerk to the Honorable Philip S. Carchman, JAD, in the Appellate Division of the New Jersey Superior Court.

Sullivan is a cum laude graduate of Rutgers University School of Law and holds a bachelor of arts degree in history from the University of Pennsylvania. He is admitted to the bar in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and is a member of the American Corporate Counsel Association.
