Peter Berger

Peter Berger is a managing director and co-founder of S.A.C. Private Capital Group (SAC PCG). From 1995-1998 and 2000-2006, he was a founding member of Ripplewood Holdings LLC (Ripplewood) and served as both a managing director of Ripplewood and a special senior advisor to the board of directors of RHJ International. Prior to joining Ripplewood, he was a senior partner and global head of the Corporate Finance Group at Arthur Andersen & Co., where he began his career in 1974. From 1989-1991, he served as a managing director in investment banking at Bear Stearns Companies. From 1999-2000, he was managing director and CEO of Mediacom Ventures LLC, a boutique investment advisory firm. He also served as non-executive chairman of the board of Kepner-Tregoe Inc., a management consulting company. Berger holds a bachelor’s degree from Boston University and an MBA from Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
