These customers helped develop topics and sessions, identify keynote themes, and provide recommendations for special entertainment. Much of the program’s success is attributable to their selfless contributions and professionalism.

Jennifer Meinkoth, MBA, RHIA, CHP
Director, Health Information Management
Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Illinois

Jennifer has been the HIM Director at Memorial Hospital, a 313-bed community hospital located in the greater St. Louis Metropolitan area, for 11 years. She also serves as the organization's Privacy Officer. She has held various elected and volunteer positions with the Illinois Health Information Management Association and the Southern Illinois Health Information Management Association. She is also a member of HIMSS.

Cassi Birnbaum, RHIA, CPHQ
Director of Health Information and Privacy Officer
Rady Children’s Hospital, San Diego, California

Cassi is presently the Director of Health Information and Privacy Officer at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, California, a position she has held since 1997. Prior to this position, she held Health Information and Quality Management positions spanning her 27 year career, where she was employed at Scripps Health and Palomar/Pomerado Health System. Concurrent with these positions she is an adjunct faculty member and has taught the Quality Management course at Mesa College since 1993, and she also was the founder and CEO of a QM Consulting firm from 1987 through 1997. Cassi is the President for CHIA and has held numerous positions at the state and local level. She also serves on the AHIMA EHR Practice Council, AHIMA Health Information Exchange (HIE) Practice Council and she has served on the Privacy and Security Solutions Group for CalRHIO. Cassi was appointed as Co-Chair of the CalRHIO Privacy Board. She is currently serving as the Co-Chair of the CCHIT Privacy and Security Expert Panel for 2007/2008.

Gina Warren, CMT
Transcription Manager
Kindred Healthcare, Louisville, Kentucky

Gina began working in the medical transcription field in 1999, and became a certified medical transcriptionist in 2003. She currently manages transcription for Kindred Healthcare's Hospital Division.

Lee Starling, RHIT
Transcription/File & Retrieval Manager
Shands at University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida

Lee coordinates transcription functions for the Shands facilities, as well as for the University of Florida Physicians Group. She began her career more than 20 years ago as a transcriptionist at a Florida facility for mentally challenged individuals. She has also worked with physicians at the University of Florida College of Medicine. Lee continues to be a well-recognized user resource for MedQuist transcription products.
